Managing the Menopause at Work
Most women at some point within their working lives will experience symptoms of the menopause. For many of these women, their symptoms will cause particular difficulties at work. These include declining concentration, motivation, confidence and resilience to stress. These in turn can lead to tricky conflicts with colleagues, additional sick days, the need for disciplinary action and early retirement. Women need better support throughout their menopause in the workplace, and employers are in a unique position to help address this.
