Dr Colinette Margerison

Dr Colinette Margerison is a highly experienced GP with specialist qualifications from both the British Menopause Society (BMS) and the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH). She is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the British Menopause Society.

Dr Margerison graduated from University of Bristol Medical School in 1996. After initially training in emergency medicine, she became a GP and has worked in the Midlands, Hampshire and Australia since 2003.

She has a longstanding special interest in gynaecology, menopause care and women’s health, with expertise spanning both reproductive and post-reproductive health. Dr Margerison is passionate about medical education and training, and tutors postgraduate medical students at University of Southampton. She also works as a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) coordinator for gynaecology and primary care in her region.

Dr Margerison sees patients with a wide range of women’s health concerns including menopause and perimenopause, contraception, menstrual problems, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, adenomyosis, pelvic pain and hormone-related symptoms affecting younger women.

She can also advise on possible treatment options for patients with a past history of cancer, or for those who may previously have been told they have contraindications to hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
